The Berkley Center recently partnered with Zoe van den Bol (Stern ’21) of Alpha Partners and Michael Bank (Stern ’24) of Founders Committee Ventures to host an inspiring evening meet-up for NYU Alumni working in Venture Capital. With a fantastic turnout spanning a broad spectrum of graduating years, the event brought together a vibrant community of VCs, fostering dynamic conversations and meaningful connections.
The evening reinforced the power of alumni networks in providing a foundation of support and collaboration that’s especially beneficial to venture professionals, who thrive on access to the right people, resources, and perspectives. Connections within this network also empower alumni to identify and back promising startups, often giving a critical boost to early-stage companies looking to scale.
Participants left the event with more than just new contacts; they walked away with a refreshed sense of community and a commitment to leveraging their NYU ties in ways that support innovation, growth, and positive impact within the startup ecosystem. The evening highlighted the immense potential within the NYU alumni network to champion one another’s ventures and, in turn, benefit the startups that alumni choose to support.
