CaroRhythm, an alumni venture of the NYU Entrepreneurs Challenge, has been selected for VentureWell’s Summer 2026 E-Team Program cohort.
Founded by Nisha Maheshwari (Tandon School of Engineering PhD ’25) and Lokesh Sharma (Tandon School of Engineering MS ’24), CaroRhythm competed in the 2023–24 NYU Entrepreneurs Challenge. The team earned both the Grand Prize and Audience Choice Award in the Healthcare Venture Competition track.
CaroRhythm is developing a non-invasive medical device that provides point-of-care monitoring and stimulation of the carotid artery. Designed to improve outcomes and quality of life for stroke survivors, the system aims to detect changes in cerebral blood flow that could lead to another stroke while enabling rapid patient stabilization and seamless data sharing between patients and physicians.
The VentureWell E-Team Program supports student-led science- and technology-based ventures as they work to bring high-impact innovations from the lab to the market.
